It seems that the strong protests of the residents of Aegina, as well as the relevant publications of e-nautilia.gr and local websites, regarding the last conventional ship departure from Piraeus to Aegina at 17:00, had an effect.
The company, with an announcement, proceeded to modify the schedules, with the new departure time being 17:45. It may not be ideal, and not what the residents of the Saronic island were asking for, but it is certainly better than the one at 17:00.
The announcement by Saronic states the following:
Following the comments and dissatisfaction expressed by many Aeginetans regarding the winter season schedules so far, we would like to inform you that Saronic has already proceeded with a request to modify its last schedule in order to facilitate the daily lives of its customers.
• Last departure Piraeus – Aegina: 17:45
• Last departure Aegina – Piraeus: 19:30
Our intention is to continuously improve our services and respond as directly as possible to the needs of the local community.
We hear you and we continue to serve the Saronic with dedication, to invest in the islands and to stand by our passengers with genuine care.
We thank you for your trust and continuous communication, which helps us to become better.
