Tm2, a company specialized in the manufacturing of wooden packaging, is immersed in a process of generational succession within its senior management. Miguel Ángel Jiménez is making way for his daughter, Mónica Jiménez, as CEO of Tm2. His nephew, Alejandro Navarro, the current operations director, is also assuming the role of general manager.
Both have extensive experience in the industrial packaging, cargo securing, and complementary logistics services sector, in addition to solid academic training that supports their appointment within the renewal process. This change in Tm2’s structure will allow the company to continue strengthening its position as a benchmark company in the sector, with new points of view that pursue constant innovation and quality. “With these successions, which will undoubtedly be supported by the entire current team, we provide continuity and stability to the company. I am convinced that the new leaders will take us to new levels of success and growth,” stated Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
Mónica Jiménez has extensive training in business management and administration. She has accumulated more than 23 years of experience at Tm2, of which the last four years have been as general manager. She holds a Law Degree, is a Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, and has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), with training in Financial Management, People Management, and ISO Management Systems. Committed to sustainability, she serves as president of the SDG Commission of Barcelona-Catalunya Logistic Center (BCL) and president of the Sustainability Group of the Governing Council of the Port of Barcelona. Furthermore, she is a guest professor at schools and universities, a member of the Women’s Council of the Consorci de la Zona Franca and of the board of the Propeller Club of Barcelona, from where she promotes female leadership and young talent in the port-logistics sector.
Innovation and sustainability
In the words of Mónica Jiménez: “I deeply thank Miguel Ángel for his trust and all these years of learning; he has been and continues to be a professional and personal reference for me and I hope to continue learning from his experience, as well as from that of all the people who have been and are part of my professional life. Every stage and every shared project has been key to getting here.”
“I feel especially proud to be able to continue this path within a family company like Tm2, which has always known how to grow without losing its values of closeness, commitment, and respect,” she adds. “And I couldn’t be happier that my cousin Alejandro is assuming the general management, a professional with an exceptional career, knowledge, and commitment. I know that, together, we will continue to grow Tm2 from innovation, sustainability, and the purpose that has always guided us.”
For his part, Alejandro Navarro has 18 years of experience at Tm2, holds a degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), and has an Executive Master’s in Management in Packaging. He is accredited as a Average Adjuster by the Colegio Oficial de la Marina Mercante (Comme) and is an expert in Cargo Handling, Stowage, and Securing.
Recognized for his technical knowledge and strategic vision, he stands out for his involvement with clients and partners, driving innovation and operational excellence that consolidate Tm2 as a benchmark in comprehensive industrial packaging, lashing, and logistics solutions.
New General Manager
Alejandro Navarro emphasizes: “I started my career in the Tm2 workshop, learning from the ground up everything that industrial packaging and lashing entails. Over time, I have been able to combine practical experience with strategic management. Taking on the general management now is a source of pride and a responsibility that I face with enthusiasm. I want to thank the great human team at Tm2 for their commitment, professionalism, and the effort they make every day. Their support will be key to accompanying Mónica and me in this new stage we are starting together.”
Together with the rest of the management team —headed by Alfonso Santa Isabel in commercial management and Beatriz Jiménez in marketing management—, and with the entire technical, production, and administrative team, composed of highly experienced and committed professionals, Tm2 faces this new stage with excitement and determination to continue strengthening its position in the sector. As for Miguel Ángel Jiménez, he is not yet saying goodbye to working life: he will continue to be linked to the company as an advisor and chairman of the board of shareholders, guaranteeing the continuity of the business project he founded with previous partners almost 40 years ago.
