El Puerto de Málaga continues to boost its international connectivity with the addition of the Dragon service, from Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), which began operating at the Malaga port facility at the beginning of July.

The main novelty of this service lies in the fact that Malaga becomes the first European port of call for this line coming directly from the Far East, directly connecting the main production centers of China and Singapore with southern Europe.

This represents an important competitive advantage for the port and for the companies in its area of influence, by reducing transit times and improving connectivity with some of the main international markets.

The new rotation of the Dragon service connects the ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Malaga, Genoa, La Spezia, Naples, Sines, Boston, New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, Savannah and Freeport, configuring a maritime corridor that links Asia, the Mediterranean and the east coast of the United States.
