Dry bulk specialist Neptune Dry, headed by Melina Travlos, has finally found a buyer for a Supramax bulk carrier long listed for sale, with fellow Greek shipping company F-Maritime emerging as the new owner
The Famellos family led F-Maritime has acquired 2015-built, 57,814-dwt ND Pistis, which has already been renamed F Glory, according to multiple shipping data platforms.
Earlier this year, Riviera reported ND Pistis had been involved in sale negotiations with prices around US$22–23M. Recent reports indicated the vessel changed hands to undisclosed Greek interests for a price within this range. Shipbroking firms noted in 2017 that Neptune acquired the vessel for approximately US$21.5M.
Equasis currently lists Neptune Dry with three bulk carriers. Melina Travlos, president of the Union of Greek Shipowners, oversees the Neptune Group, which is well known for its pure car and truck carrier operations.
With this acquisition, F-Maritime’s fleet will expand to five vessels, with F Glory becoming the youngest in the fleet; the other vessels were built between 2008 and 2014.
The Greek owner appears to be in a fleet renewal phase. Earlier this year, it added 2013-built Ultramax F Charm (formerly Omishima Island) to its fleet while divesting 2009-built Magnum Energy.
Ultramax and Supramax bulk carriers continue to feature prominently in shipbroking sale and purchase reports. According to Allied Shipbroking, by the first week of November 2025, 218 vessels, averaging 14 years of age, had changed hands, compared with 276 vessels in 2024, averaging 12 years of age.
