Pacific International Lines (PIL) recently welcomed the inaugural calls of new feeder services in Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Nicaragua, the Costa Oeste de Centroamérica 1 and 2 (CA1 and CA2).

“These first calls followed the announcement made in July about the launch of these feeder services, which will provide our customers with comprehensive and efficient access to Central America,” the shipping line communicated.

“As a complement to the CA1 and CA2 services, PIL also offers an additional step beyond maritime cargo transport, through our Intermodal Services in Costa Rica and El Salvador. Leveraging the local land transport network, we strive to deliver cargo inland,” it added.

The rotation of the CA1 service is Buenaventura (Colombia) – Corinto (Nicaragua) – Puerto Caldera (Costa Rica) – Buenaventura, while in the case of CA2 it is Lázaro Cárdenas (Mexico) – Acajutla (El Salvador) – Lázaro Cárdenas.

“From Puerto Caldera and Acajutla, PIL’s Intermodal Services can deliver your cargo by land to the following inland destinations in Costa Rica and El Salvador, respectively: Puerto Caldera (Costa Rica) to San José, Heredia, Alajuela, Cartago; Acajutla (El Salvador) to San Salvador,” the company emphasized.

“Through our dual approach to Central America, we demonstrate PIL’s commitment to connectivity and driving commercial growth in the region. Our comprehensive end-to-end transport solution helps you save time and resources, so you can focus on what matters most to your business,” it added.
