The agreement, signed through a subsidiary of the company, concerns SwissMarine Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, with a daily charter rate of 24,500 dollars, gross, minus a 5% commission.
The charter period is set from May 1 to June 30, 2027, commencing on November 26, 2025.
It is recalled that the vessel was previously chartered to Solebay Shipping Cape Company Limited at 17,500 dollars daily.
The new contract is expected to generate approximately 12.62 million dollars in gross revenue for the minimum period of employment of the “Seattle”.
Concurrently, Diana Shipping announced the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the sale of the Ultramax m/v DSI Drammen (2016) for 26.4 million dollars, with delivery to the buyer by March 31, 2026.
