On the morning of July 22, the #1 299,500-ton very large crude carrier (VLCC) “ATOKOS,” built by Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for Greek shipowner Dynacom, was officially signed and delivered.
Liu Haijin, General Manager of New Times Shipbuilding, Zhang Yuyong, Executive Deputy General Manager, Yuan Heng, Deputy General Manager, and Romeo, on-site manager of Greek shipowner Dynacom, along with other guests, attended the ceremony. Under the collective witness of all attendees, Executive Deputy General Manager Zhang Yuyong and Romeo signed the delivery documents.
This delivery marks the first of four 299,500-ton tankers ordered by Greek shipowner Dynacom from New Times Shipbuilding. The vessel has an overall length of 332.95 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 327 meters, a beam of 60 meters, a depth of 29.6 meters, a design draft of 20.5 meters, and a scantling draft of 21.7 meters. Its tank capacity is 339,000 cubic meters, with a deadweight tonnage of 299,240 MT. It is equipped with a 6G80ME-C10.6-Tier III with HPSCR main engine, featuring a main engine power (SMCR) of 18,800 KW and a continuous service rating (NCR) of 15,980 KW, meeting Tier III nitrogen oxide emission requirements. At a design draft of 20.5 meters, NCR power, with PSV and HVAF installed, and a 15% sea margin reserve, the vessel achieves a speed of approximately 14.5 knots.
