Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced modifications to the East Coast South America Express 2 (SX2) service, involving adjustments to the port rotation in both eastbound and westbound directions.

On the eastbound route, Shanghai, China, will be added as a new port of call, while Hong Kong will be replaced by Cai Mep, Vietnam. These changes will take effect with the voyages of the container ships Hyundai Integral and MOL Experience.

Meanwhile, on the westbound rotation, Shanghai will also be added as a new point of arrival. This adjustment will be effective with the voyage of the Hyundai Integral from Busan, South Korea.

The shipping company emphasized that these updates aim to optimize the connectivity and efficiency of the SX2 service, which links Asia with the east coast of South America.

Thus, the loop will be Busan – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Rio Grande – Itapoá – Santos – Singapore – Cai Mep – Busan.

ONE stated that the SX2 service provides broad coverage linking Asia by leveraging ONE’s comprehensive global network and “direct connections with major destinations in Argentina and Uruguay through a dedicated feeder network from Rio Grande,” as specified by the shipping company.
