Oceanly and Nagarro have announced a new partnership aimed at delivering AI-driven fleet performance and maritime intelligence solutions. The collaboration promises fuel savings, emissions monitoring, and predictive maintenance for global shipping operators.
Oceanly has joined forces with global digital engineering company Nagarro to introduce AI-powered fleet performance and operational intelligence solutions for the maritime sector.
The companies said the partnership combines Oceanly’s expertise in collecting and analyzing maritime operational data with Nagarro’s experience in artificial intelligence, enterprise integration, and large-scale digital transformation. The aim is to give shipowners and operators real-time insights that can improve efficiency, enhance safety, and reduce costs.
The announcement comes at a time when shipping companies face mounting pressure to comply with environmental regulations, optimize fuel use, and modernize complex operational systems. According to the two firms, the collaboration has already produced a working model that demonstrates how their platforms can deliver value from day one.
Key features include fuel optimization, emissions monitoring, automated reporting, and AI-powered dashboards capable of delivering recommendations for operators. The partnership will also make it easier for companies to upgrade legacy systems such as planned maintenance systems, computerised maintenance management systems, and procurement platforms to Oceanly’s modern cloud-based technology.
Frederik Lerche-Tornoe, Chief Executive Officer at Oceanly, said the agreement reflects the company’s mission to support the industry’s shift toward smarter, safer, and more sustainable operations. “Our mission at Oceanly is to future-proof shipping with advanced fleet performance solutions. This partnership makes it easier for shipowners to adopt smarter systems without overhauling their infrastructure. Together with Nagarro, we are turning complexity into clarity, helping the maritime sector achieve safety, efficiency, and sustainability at scale,” he said.
Nagarro executives emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in transforming how operators use data. “A winning AI strategy in maritime focuses on moving from descriptive data to prescriptive intelligence, turning information into actionable insights that drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability,” said Tom Buhl, Senior Business Development Advisor at Nagarro. “Together, Oceanly and Nagarro are well-positioned to assist our maritime clients to generate new /KPIs and savings well integrated into their ecosystem.”
Harsh Narula, Co-lead for Ground Transportation and Logistics at Nagarro, highlighted how the company’s Ginger AI technology will be applied. “Our AI solution–Ginger AI–will work in tandem with Oceanly Performance to identify patterns, proactively detect anomalies, and possibly identify issues with the fleet well in advance. This offers a promise to boost the efficiency of our maritime partners, gives them vast insights into their fleet performance, and aids in reducing the chances of vessel failures,” he said.
Looking ahead, Oceanly and Nagarro plan to expand their offerings into advanced voyage reporting, predictive maintenance, and emissions tracking while continuing to integrate their technologies with established maritime systems.
