The Department of Business Administration of the University of West Attica announces the Postgraduate Program (P.M.S.) “Organization, Operation, Development and Management of Ports”. This is a P.M.S. which has been designed to provide substantial education in subjects related to the Organization, Operation, Development and Management of Ports, applying a human-centric philosophy, while simultaneously equipping students with the necessary theoretical background, practical knowledge and skills to meet the requirements-challenges of the modern port industry and the wider coastal economy.

One of the most important innovations implemented by the P.M.S. is that it offers students an alternative way of learning, which focuses on cultivating knowledge and acquiring skills, competencies and experiences through the implementation of a series of actions. Actions which enable our students to complete their postgraduate cycle of studies without taking exams at the end of each semester. In more detail, these actions mainly concern the following directions: Implementation of Projects instead of Exams, Implementation of Lectures by Business & Organization Executives, Visits to Businesses & Organizations, Meetings with Senior Management Executives, Implementation of Educational Trips in Greece and Abroad.

Particular emphasis is also placed on the interconnection of the P.M.S. with the labor market. In this context, the P.M.S. includes two programs in collaboration with businesses and organizations operating in the field of the port industry and the wider coastal economy. In more detail: Internship Program, Talent Development Program.

It is worth noting that the teaching of the courses is done using a mixed system of teaching (in-person and distance) through the use of synchronous and asynchronous e-learning tools, combined with in-person teaching.
