Osiris Consultants has released a new product called DEMeXchange, aiming to supplement its SOFeXchange digital Statement of Facts (SOF) collection system with improved Laytime calculation capabilities.
The new software is designed to support calculation of complex fixtures, such as port reversibility, cargo parcels and differential port rates, allowing overall laytime value to be calculated and claims to be split by company.
Any change in the calculation with an update in the SOF is automatically computed, with any attached documents made available in DEMeXchange to provide laytime analysts with a single localised document location.
Users can also access Laytime calculations from smartphones or tablets, with the web-based application designed to be used on handheld devices as well as desktop computers. All data is held on a server, with calculations performed on back-office systems.
A standard API is additionally available, allowing users to post data from their calculations to a Voyage Management System or accounting package.
