The National Service for Animal Quality and Health of Paraguay (Senacsa) reported the start of the audit by the National Directorate of Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance of Panama (DNCAVV), with which the aim is to enable the meatpacking plants that will export beef to the Central American nation.
On the first day, the audit team concluded its first visit at the Frigorífico San Antonio, located in the city of San Antonio, Central department.
The inspection, which is being carried out after the official opening of the Panamanian market, will end on October 31, announced Senacsa.
Last August, the Panamanian Food Agency approved the import of bovine meat products from Paraguay.
Recently, the Panamanian president, José Raúl Mulino, announced that in the coming days the first shipment of beef for export from Paraguay to Panama will be made, which he described as “a tremendous achievement together.”
The opening of the Panamanian market for Paraguayan meat is the result of a serious foreign policy and a solid alliance between the public and private sectors, stated for his part the Paraguayan president Santiago Peña.
“Behind every export there is work, effort, and a productive chain that does not stop,” highlighted the president of Paraguay.
