Peninsula, a leading global marine fuel supplier and bunker trading firm, has announced that Nacho de Miguel, Head of Alternative Fuels & Sustainability, will participate in a panel discussion at the Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
The event, scheduled for October 19–21, will feature de Miguel on a strategic panel titled “LNG bunkering: Supplying a growing global fleet of LNG-fuelled ships” on October 20 from 15:15 to 16:00 in the Plenary Theatre.
Alongside Peninsula, other panelists include Harvey Gulf International Marine, an operator of offshore support vessels and the first in North America to introduce LNG-powered ships. Carnival Corporation will also participate as the world’s largest cruise company, investing in alternative energy sources, including fuels. Pilot LNG is a U.S.-based developer focused on LNG infrastructure projects. Seaside LNG operates integrated LNG liquefaction and provides Jones Act-compliant bunkering services in North America.
The conference will explore global LNG bunkering trends and examine case studies from American operations, as the maritime industry continues to evaluate alternative fuels for decarbonisation. LNG is increasingly used as a transitional fuel for shipowners seeking to reduce emissions and achieve operational certainty.
Peninsula is expanding its LNG bunkering services in response to growing demand for cleaner marine fuels, supporting shipowners as they navigate the energy transition.
The Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition will bring together industry stakeholders to discuss the infrastructure, logistics, and regulatory developments shaping the North American LNG market.
