The senior management of Peru’s National Port Authority (APN), together with the Directorate of Planning and Economic Studies, participated in the VII Technical Roundtable to promote foreign trade, held in Pucallpa and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) with the support of the Regional Government of Ucayali.
During the meeting, the head of the APN, Abel Alvarado Huertas, highlighted the importance of addressing port activity from a comprehensive vision, which articulates ports, roads, and railways, as a basis for achieving sustainable and competitive development.
In this line, the APN’s Directorate of Planning and Economic Studies presented the progress of the Port of Pucallpa, highlighting the master plan and its comprehensive approach. Likewise, it was noted that this river terminal has high potential for interconnection with Brazil and with the country’s seaports, strengthening the national logistics chain.
