Port Houston announced the appointment of two experienced executives to its leadership team following a nationwide search. Eric Casey as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Parker Harrison as the next Chief Legal Officer (CLO).
“I am thrilled that Eric and Parker have joined the Port Houston team. Their experience and leadership reflect our commitment to investing in top-tier talent to support the continued growth and future of our port and maritime economic development. Eric and Parker are exceptional individuals and I am confident their contributions will drive significant advancements for our organization and the region,” stated Port Houston Executive Director Charlie Jenkins.
For his part, Casey commented that “Port Houston plays a key role in global commerce and is essential to the economic strength of our region and the country. It is an honor to join the team and I look forward to contributing to the sustained growth and long-term success, building upon the solid existing operational foundation.”
Meanwhile, Harrison indicated that “Port Houston is a driving force in the maritime industry and a key player in the national economy. I am excited to join the team and support its mission as we face complex legal and regulatory challenges and pursue strategic growth.”
Harrison will assume the role of CLO replacing Erik Eriksson, who plans to retire in the coming months. “We are grateful for the leadership and lasting contributions of Tom Heidt and Erik Eriksson,” said Jenkins.
“Their dedication helped shape Port Houston, and as we welcome new executives, we remain focused on the future. We are building on a solid foundation to drive continued growth along the Houston Ship Channel,” he concluded.
