The Port of Leixões carried out an operation with the Ro-Ro vessel MV Auto Energy, of 4,000 CEU, loading approximately 540 vehicles produced at the Stellantis factory in Mangualde.
The operation, performed by TCGL – Terminal de Carga Geral e de Granéis de Leixões SA, took place for the first time upstream of the Movable Bridge, in an area concessioned to this company. The MV Auto Energy, with a length of 182 meters, a beam of 30 meters, a draft of 40 meters and a capacity for 4,000 automobiles.
The exemplary involvement of the entire APDL Operations team (Coordination, Piloting, Tugboats, among others) is noteworthy, as they took on this challenge with enthusiasm and contributed decisively to its success.
The launch of this service represents an important milestone for the Port of Leixões, allowing it to diversify its logistic and port offerings, reinforcing its capacity to respond to high value-added operations.
