Princess revises 2025 cruise routes Princess revises 2025 cruise routes

Must read

The biggest required lead time when it comes to maritime schedules is, by a long way, in the mega-cruise-ship sector. Princess Cruises, one of the Carnival Corporation subsidiaries, has announced revised itineraries for two of its cruises undertaking a global voyage next year

The company said the banner’s two “2025 World Cruises” – Island Princess (IMO 9230402) and Crown Princess (IMO 9293399) – would no longer be visiting the Middle East and Asia. The world cruise instead will offer new port stops in Africa and Europe.

Carnival had said in March it will probably not be sailing through the Red Sea region for the rest of this year and early next year due to persisting hostilities.

Island Princess, which had been scheduled to depart from the US in January 2025, will now depart from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in February 2025 and travel via South Africa, to end its journey at Malta.

Crown Princess had been scheduled to visit 42 destinations in 22 countries. It will also travel via Africa. However, the company did not provide more details on the full revised itinerary for the ship.

2003-built, Bermuda-flagged, 92,822 gt Island Princess is owned and managed by Princess Cruise Lines Ltd of Valencia, California, USA. It is listed as entered with Steamship Mutual, Gard and UK Club.

As of May 2nd the Island Princess was underway off Punterenas on the west coast of Costa Rica.

2006-built, Bermuda-flagged, 113,561 gt Crown Princess is owned and managed by Princess Cruise Lines Ltd. It is listed as entered with Steamship Mutual, Gard and UK Club

As of May 2nd the Crown Princess was en route from Vancouver, Canada, to San Francisco, USA, ETA May 4th.
