PSA Intermodal Italy, the intermodal operations subsidiary of PSA Italy, and Logtainer have signed the definitive agreement for the management of the Interporto Padova intermodal terminal, marking the transition following the award of the tender in December 2025.

The agreement provides for the creation of a new company, PSA Padova, which will lead the management and development of the terminal.

PSA Padova aims to consolidate Padua’s role as a strategic logistics hub within the main European freight and intermodal transport corridors, in line with PSA’s Node to Network (N2N) strategy, by improving connectivity between land terminals, seaports and international transport networks, with an open and multi-user approach.

PSA Intermodal Italy will assume leadership in PSA Padova, with a majority stake and operational responsibility, leveraging PSA Italia’s strong presence in the country. Interporto Padova will remain a shareholder, ensuring strong local roots and continued strategic alignment of the terminal within the regional logistics system. The project is based on PSA’s global network of ports, land terminals and supply chain solutions, bringing its integrated approach to land logistics in Padua, together with Logtainer’s complementary expertise in multimodal transport operations in the Italian market.

Given the terminal’s advanced infrastructure and its established connections with the Trans-European Transport Networks, Padua will boost PSA Italia’s ecosystem, strengthening the PSA Group’s N2N strategy to improve the competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability of Italian businesses and supply chains in northeastern Italy.
