A total of 40 workers in Valparaíso and San Antonio de Puerto Columbo are currently participating in a labor competency evaluation and certification process, which aims to formally recognize the knowledge and skills acquired in their professional careers.
The initiative is being carried out under the processes and procedures of ChileValora and is currently in the candidate assessment stage.
The project includes certification in four key occupational profiles for the logistics sector: Logistics Operations Supervisor (27 candidates), Logistics Administrative (11 candidates), Warehouse Operative (1 candidate) and Inventory Manager (1 candidate).
“The certification system represents an official recognition from the State of Chile for the worker, which not only validates their experience but also strengthens their professional development and improves their employability opportunities. From the company’s perspective, the process directly contributes to improving productivity, service quality, and operational safety, by having personnel qualified under national standards,” the company stated.
“Thus, this certification project in Puerto Columbo reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing human capital, betting on formal processes that raise its operational standards and contribute to the professional growth of its collaborators,” it added.
In the same vein, Valeria Echeverría, in charge of the company’s Training and Development processes, emphasized that “within our strategic line as a company, we aim to add value and a quality seal to our services as an extra-port operator, along with strengthening the commitment and professional growth of our collaborators. This also allows us to guarantee our clients the delivery of an efficient and differentiated service within the market.”
The evaluation process is conducted by Raúl Solís, who began the joint work with the Alog team starting in September. “Raúl has over 20 years of experience in human resources management, logistics, and competency certification. His career includes participation in important certifying bodies such as the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Bureau Veritas, with projects in sectors like retail, logistics, foreign trade, and service stations,” was highlighted from Puerto Columbo.
“With training as a Human Resources Management Engineer and specializations in logistics, warehouse control, and administration, Raúl Solís has held key roles in companies such as Ripley, Dijón, Bigger, and Ferrocarriles Suburbanos de Concepción, leading standardization processes, team formation, and logistical design,” it concluded.
