Royal T Shipyards announced the christening and launch of MV Vertom Quina, the tenth vessel in the LABRAX series built for Vertom. The company said the event marks the completion of the series of next-generation diesel-electric vessels designed to support cleaner and more efficient short-sea transport in Europe.

The vessel is 118.60 meters long with a beam of 14.30 meters and includes a full-box cargo hold of 329,700 cubic feet. It features diesel-electric propulsion, designed for fuel savings, low emissions and readiness for alternative zero-emission fuels. The series is based on modular construction and engineering approaches developed by Royal T Shipyards over 15 years and applied to more than 200 delivered vessels.

After final outfitting in Kampen, the vessel is scheduled to proceed to Harlingen for sea trials and delivery later this year.
