The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini today met with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the /Corex Group, Erhan Ciloglu.
He is the representative of one of the world’s most important terminal operators, present in the Port of Taranto through its subsidiary company San Cataldo Container Terminal s.p.a. (SCCT), the holder of the concession for the use of the areas and the quay of the Multi-sector Pier, to make a multipurpose terminal operational by promoting the development of commercial traffic and logistics with particular reference to the handling of containers, general cargo, and ro-ro.
The focus of the meeting was the availability of funds and the commitment of the AdSP Taranto for the execution of the dredging works, as well as the implementation of the MASE Decree on Offshore Wind for a project that has a major impact on the Apulian territory as a whole and, in particular, on the local logistics chain’s induced activities, which involves over 400 workers.
