The European Union has officially approved its 16th package of sanctions imposed against Russia in response to its large-scale invasion of Ukraine, while the United Kingdom came out today with its own series of measures designed to hinder the Russian war machine.
The new measures, announced on the third anniversary of the total war, target the shadow fleet of tankers, banks, aluminum imports and other sectors of Russia Russia.
«For three years, Russia has relentlessly bombed Ukraine, trying to steal lands that are not its own to take,» said the EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, in a statement.
