Approximately 3,000 people have visited the port facilities since the beginning of the year to learn, first-hand, about the activity that takes place in the Cantabrian infrastructure. 700 have done so through the program intended for individuals, while the rest belong to schools and other types of associations. “For us, it is a source of pride and satisfaction that the citizens want to come and see our facilities and that we can convey to them the fundamental role this infrastructure plays in the economic activity and job creation throughout the region,” stated the President of the Port Authority of Santander, César Díaz.
Starting in January, the guided tour for individuals will take place twice a month. In the morning at 10:30 on the first working Wednesday of each month; and in the afternoon at 16:30 on the Thursday of, approximately, two weeks later. “Due to this success in participation and the high demand we continue to receive for this activity, we have decided to increase the number of guided tours in 2026 to give more people the opportunity to get to know the port premises,” assured the President of the port of Santander.
