Shelf Drilling awarded three-year contract by ONGC
Shelf Drilling's FG McClintock rig will commence operations offshore India for ONGC

Shelf Drilling has been awarded a three-year contract for the jack-up rig FG McClintock with India’s state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) for operations in the Mumbai High field, offshore India

The planned start-up of operations is Q1 2023. 1975-built FG McClintock is currently on a contract with ONGC running till October 2022.
Last year, Shelf Drilling won a three-year deal with ONGC for the Parameswara jack-up rig.

The UAE-based contractor reported 28 of its 30 rigs were contracted at the end of Q1 2022 as global rig utilisation and day rates continue to rise. Last month, the company secured a three-year contract extension with Saudi Aramco for 1981-built jack-up High Island V.
Since the end of the first quarter, more of its rigs have secured work. Rig 141 secured a six-month firm contract with an additional six-month option period with PetroGulf beginning June 2022.
