The works to expand the 4,000 square meters of the warehouse that the company Roll Trailer Business Solutionshas in its concession within the Port of Santander and to which it will allocate an investment of 641,642 euros (USD 752,147), are close to completion.
The company, which requires more space due to a forecast growth in the movement of fibrogypsum to reach 70,000 tonnes per year, has a concession of 35,600 square meters, after the Board of Directors of the Port Authority approved a substantial modification this year to increase its surface area by 10,161 square meters.
Specifically, the company, whose activity is aimed at the consolidation and deconsolidation of cargo and containers transported by sea, estimates a traffic of 110,000 tons for this year with a growth forecast of up to 270,000 tons in 2029 and a net turnover for that year 154% higher than that forecast for 2025.
For thepresident of the APS, César Díaz, the port administration “tries to promote, with its decisions, the competitiveness of the Santander dock, giving companies and operators the opportunity to increase their turnover and optimize their work to the maximum.”
“Our investment plan for the period 2025-2029” aims to “increase the capacity and efficiency of our infrastructures and continue to strengthen the port of Santander as a driver of economic activity and a generator of employment in the region,” said Díaz.
