The Ministry of the Environment recognized San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) for its commitment to climate action, awarding it the Quantification and Reduction Seals, in addition to the Seal of Excellence that the company receives for the second consecutive year.

The recognition is part of the HuellaChile program, which distinguishes organizations that outstandingly manage their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, promoting sustainable practices in the public and private sectors.

Karen Ortega, STI’s Environment Manager, stated that “this recognition reflects our permanent commitment to environmental management and emission reduction. We have progressed in integrating sustainability into all our operations, and having obtained the seal of excellence for the second consecutive year is a tangible demonstration of this.”

Among the main actions, the change of lighting to LED technology was carried out, a measure that has allowed the reduction of monthly energy consumption and, therefore, CO? emissions.

The Seal of Excellence represents the highest recognition for carbon management. It is awarded only to entities that, in the same year, manage to quantify and reduce their emissions, maintain a record without environmental or discrimination sanctions, and demonstrate progress in areas such as climate commitment, cooperation, awareness, environmental co-benefits, neutralization, continuous improvement, and gender equity.
