On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the swearing-in ceremony of the New Petty Officers of the 43rd Training Series of the Hellenic Navy took place at the facilities of the Petty Officers’ School (ΣΜΥΝ) in the Naval Fortress of Skaramagas.
The graduation diplomas were presented by the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, who also represented the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis.
Additionally present at the ceremony were members of parliament, the Chief of Fleet, Rear Admiral Christos Sasiakos HN, the Commander of the Naval Training Command (ΔΝΕ), Rear Admiral Spyridon Tsiafoutis HN, representatives of the Chiefs of the General Staffs and the Security Forces, members of the Supreme Naval Council, as well as relatives and friends of the new Petty Officers.
A total of 139 Petty Officers of various specializations were sworn in, of whom 9 were from Cyprus and 2 from Senegal.
The ceremony was presided over by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Nicaea, Alexios.
