The president of the Port Authority of Tenerife, Pedro Suárez, has responded to the Industrial Association of the Canaries (Asinca), which had stated that the grain unloading operations in recent weeks had been delayed due to a mismatch in the stevedoring hands. “The supply of grain for the provincial livestock sector through the port of Tenerife is guaranteed,” Pedro Suárez stated.
The Port Employment Center had already warned, aware that this situation could occur, the employers’ association of the sector with the intention of distributing the available stevedoring services among all the requests, thus guaranteeing the minimum possible impact. The Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife joins the constructive will of Asinca so that, together, we can continue to maintain the port of Tenerife as the guarantor of the supply of goods to our archipelago, always relying on the professionalism of its stevedores.
