Recently, the “Ke’an”, “Port Phillip”, and “Oak Bay” vessels under repair by China Resources Dadong entered the dry dock for docking, marking the first time three vessels simultaneously underwent full flat bottom external plate blasting and silicone paint application, successfully completing all related operations. This demonstrates the company’s comprehensive strength in the field of coating construction.

The scale of this operation was substantial, with a total working area of approximately 40,000 square meters. To ensure the task was completed as planned, the production department carried out meticulous advance planning, avoiding numerous adverse factors that could cause mutual interference during multi-vessel simultaneous coating construction, thereby laying a solid foundation for the orderly progression of each process.

In response to differences in equipment rust removal capabilities, personnel operation levels, and management skills among various construction teams, the coating workshop implemented a customized management model: the full white exposed areas of the external plates were divided into blocks, and work zones were precisely allocated based on each team’s construction capabilities. This ensured that each team’s schedule milestones were met and that all work areas met inspection standards.

For this coating operation, a total of 12 large-arm vehicles and 14 dock-bottom vehicles were deployed. Through the coordinated efforts of all parties, each milestone was strictly executed according to the general manager’s plan: the dock lift was successfully completed on the morning of May 3, rust removal operations were fully concluded on the afternoon of May 5, the first coat of paint application commenced simultaneously on all three vessels on the morning of May 6, the final coat of silicone paint was completed on May 10, and the three vessels were successfully launched on May 12. This fully demonstrated the comprehensive scheduling capability and exceptional plan execution of the coating workshop.

The coating workshop stated that it will continue to promote a work style of overcoming difficulties and striving for excellence, optimizing construction processes and improving operational efficiency with higher standards and better quality, to achieve further successes in subsequent production.
