On April 2, another achievement was reported from the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) Tianjin project. The C16K-20, a 15000TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship built for the CMA CGM Group, successfully completed all construction tasks in the dock, smoothly undocked, and officially entered the underwater commissioning phase.

During the construction of this vessel, DSIC Tianjin strictly adhered to the principles of unified design, unified procurement, and unified planning management, efficiently advancing tasks such as block assembly and joining. The main engine installation was completed in just 11 days, 2 days shorter than previous ships in the same series. The pre-alignment work for the main engine and shafting was also successfully completed simultaneously. Key milestones including the block assembly, joining, post-welding inspection of the lashing bridges, and the container hold testing and inspection were all completed on schedule, laying a solid foundation for the underwater main engine mooring tests.

Moving forward, DSIC Tianjin will continue to focus on core tasks such as dual-fuel system commissioning, equipment protection, and mooring trials. It will strictly control quality, adhere to schedule milestones, and make every effort to ensure the delivery of high-quality vessels to the shipowner, striving to achieve the “Double Over Half” target with practical actions and tangible results.
