Recently, the “Yangxi No.1 Marine Ranch” deep-sea comprehensive aquaculture platform, constructed by Zhongshan Xindazhi Manufacturing under Yuexin Offshore Engineering, successfully launched at the Zhongshan base. This marks another milestone for Yuexin Offshore Engineering in the field of deep-sea aquaculture equipment, injecting new momentum into the modernization of marine ranches in Guangdong Province.
As the first truss-type deep-sea aquaculture platform in Yangjiang City, “Yangxi No.1” has a total investment of over 100 million yuan. It adopts a steel semi-submersible truss structure, equipped with a four-point mooring positioning system, and is designed to withstand once-in-a-century sea conditions in the South China Sea, capable of resisting typhoons above Category 17. The platform employs an innovative “1+30” aquaculture model, consisting of one main aquaculture platform with a water volume of 60,000 cubic meters and 30 gravity-type net cages, forming a large-scale aquaculture cluster.
Unlike traditional nearshore plastic fish rafts, “Yangxi No.1” has a deeper draft, effectively addressing pain points such as poor wind and wave resistance in traditional aquaculture models and pollution in nearshore waters, expanding aquaculture space from nearshore to deep-sea areas 20 kilometers offshore. The platform is equipped with fully integrated intelligent equipment, including smart monitoring, automatic feeding, video surveillance, and water quality monitoring, enabling remote control and precise management.
Once the project is completed and operational, a single cycle can produce 2 million jin of various marine fish, with an annual output of up to 4 million jin. It will primarily farm high-value commercial fish such as golden pompano, amberjack, and grouper, strongly promoting the transformation and upgrading of Yangxi’s fishery from “relying on nature” to “thriving through technology,” providing solid support for Yangjiang’s construction of a “blue granary.”
Looking ahead, Yuexin Offshore Engineering will continue to deepen its efforts in the deep-sea aquaculture equipment sector, leveraging the technical heritage of nearly a century of shipbuilding expertise and advantages in offshore engineering equipment manufacturing to drive continuous technological innovation and product iteration.
