On the morning of July 7th, New Times Shipbuilding held a steel-cutting ceremony for two new vessels in the No. 3 bay of the steel processing workshop at its new district. The prefabrication of hull structural components began for Hull No. 44 and No. 71—two 155,500-ton LNG dual-fuel powered oil tankers.

The No. 44 155,500-ton LNG dual-fuel oil tanker is the second vessel in an order of eight such ships placed by Maran Tankers Management Inc. at New Times Shipbuilding. The series of 155,500-ton LNG dual-fuel oil tankers measure 274.3 meters in overall length, with a length between perpendiculars of 269.9 meters, a beam of 48 meters, a depth of 23.2 meters, a design draft of 16 meters, and a structural draft of 17.15 meters. The cargo tank capacity (including slop tanks and residue tanks) totals 172,000 cubic meters.
