On October 3, the No. 45 and No. 54 210,000-ton bulk carriers built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Beihai Shipbuilding for Belgium’s CMB.TECH company were successfully undocked.
The project team coordinated and linked all departments, achieving the normalized advancement of the special project targets “Three Connections and One Drainage, Four Engines and One Boiler”. The undocking completeness and superstructure block assembly completeness for this year have both remained stable above 90 points, forming mature, replicable, and promotable experience.
Under the careful planning and strict control of all departments, tasks including main engine tank oil flushing, steering gear oil filling and operation, boiler ignition, operation of hatch covers, provision cranes, and anchor mooring winches were completed. The static alarm point inspection for the generators was finished. Following undocking, work such as the generator engine trial and shaft load test can be progressed simultaneously, providing a solid guarantee for shortening the outfitting period afloat and ensuring mooring safety.
During the National Day holiday, all construction personnel and management staff坚守一线 (remained on the front line), orderly advancing various key tasks围绕出坞目标 (centered around the undocking goal), demonstrating a high degree of cohesion and execution capability. The successful undocking of these two vessels marks another important milestone in the sincere cooperation between Beihai Shipbuilding and CMB.TECH, reflecting Beihai Shipbuilding’s strength and advantages in the field of large bulk carrier construction.
