Valenciaport has awarded Interim Service Solutions the provision of passenger assistance and information within the framework of the project aimed at reinforcing the border security of the ports of Valencia and Sagunto. The contract aims to provide support to the National Police in the management of passenger flows and in the application of identity verification and immigration control procedures.
Specifically, the award is part of the project promoted by the Valencia Port Authority, which is 75% co-financed by the European Union through the Internal Security Funds. The project also includes the installation of a pilot container, which will become the centerpiece of the border security project. The infrastructure will be equipped with advanced technology for passport reading, passenger service, and immigration control, including large windows, thermal insulation systems, adequate lighting, and functional furniture.
