Recently, the second 158,000-ton Suezmax crude oil tanker “CAPE ARMATHIA” (H1599) built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding for Greek Cape Shipping company successfully completed all sea trial tasks and safely docked at the company’s pier. Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Director Li Zhizhong and relevant department heads arrived at the pier to warmly welcome the triumphant return of the sea trial team.
With the comprehensive deepening and implementation of lean management initiatives such as “Three Cancellations,” “Four Zeroing,” seawater dock commissioning, and completion management at Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, the efficiency of various preparations after the vessel’s undocking has continuously improved. The cycle from undocking to sea trials for this vessel has reached an industry-leading level. During the sea trials, the team worked together, overcame difficulties, and successfully completed all sea trial tasks, earning high praise from the shipowner’s representatives and surveyors, laying a solid foundation for subsequent delivery.
