One thing is certain. The build-up to the UN climate summit in Paris this December has brought increasing attention to the shipping industry’s CO2 emissions. For the first time ever, shipping has been included in the proposal that will form the basis of the negotiations, and this is not the norm. As such, the industry is waiting with bated breath to learn the specific contents of the document, expected published in late October.
