Record attendance, a growing waitlist and exceptional industry feedback highlight the continued growth of the global Women Together community.

ATHENS, GREECE – Women Together celebrated a landmark moment at Posidonia 2026, welcoming more than 100 guests to its flagship sunset networking event at Zen Beach, Athens, in what many attendees described as one of the week’s standout gatherings.

Held during one of the busiest weeks in the global maritime calendar, the event brought together shipowners, charterers, brokers, traders, operators, maritime service providers, and future industry leaders for an evening centred around connection, collaboration, and community.

The success of the event marks a significant milestone for Women Together. Since its previous Posidonia gathering, delivered in collaboration with TradeWinds, the organisation has experienced substantial growth, expanding from a respected industry network into a global platform supporting women across shipping, commodities, logistics, energy, and trade.

Over the past two years, Women Together has launched its own membership platform and mobile app, developed an international female speaker platform designed to increase the visibility of women across the industry and established partnerships with leading organisations including Forbes and Breakbulk.

This year’s Posidonia event saw attendance more than double compared to the previous gathering, achieved a show-up rate of over 90% and generated a waitlist, demonstrating the increasing demand for curated industry events that prioritise meaningful conversations and long-term relationship building.

Unlike traditional exhibition networking, Women Together has focused on creating smaller, carefully curated gatherings in relaxed and natural settings where attendees can engage in genuine conversations away from the pressures of the exhibition floor.

Founder Zoe Upson commented:

“While we are incredibly proud of the attendance numbers, what excites me most is what they represent. We saw a waitlist, a show-up rate of more than 90% and feedback that exceeded anything we could have hoped for.

The maritime industry is built on relationships and people are increasingly looking for authentic opportunities to connect. Women Together has always been about creating those spaces where conversations happen naturally, relationships are formed and opportunities are created.

The growth we have experienced since our last Posidonia event has been extraordinary and this event felt like another important step forward for the community.”

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both sponsors and attendees.

Henrik Hyldahn, CEO of Marcura, said:

“The Women Together event stood out as one of the true highlights of the week. Good vibes, good conversations, and genuinely nice people. I understand why these gatherings continue to gain momentum in terms of both numbers and impact.”

James Kellett, Founder of Spot Ship, commented:

“Without doubt the most enjoyable event of Posidonia. Spot Ship were thrilled to support. Zoe brought together some of the most forward-thinking and influential minds in shipping in a fantastic setting that was full of energy and optimism.”

Attendee Isabela Tatu added:

“For me, it was the best event of the week. The beach, the venue, the people, and the atmosphere were all exceptional.

Everything came together perfectly.

The event was attended by leading figures from across the maritime sector, including John Faraclas, co-Founder of All About Shipping, reflecting the growing industry recognition of the Women Together community and its contribution to fostering stronger professional networks across the sector.

Women Together’s Posidonia event was made possible through the support of Clarksons, FACT Talent, Marcura, Spot Ship and StoneX.

As the organisation continues to expand internationally, Women Together remains committed to creating opportunities for women and allies to connect, develop professionally and contribute to the future of the maritime industry.

The success of Posidonia 2026 reinforces a simple but powerful message: in an increasingly fast-paced and digital world, authentic human connection remains one of the industry’s most valuable assets.
