On the morning of May 7, 2026, the keel laying ceremony for the 80,000 DWT general dry cargo ship series built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (XSI) for CIFC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. was grandly held in the manufacturing workshop of XSI. Project Manager Zhu Enfang and Supervisor Li Yujie from the owner’s site supervision team, Surveyor He Junjie from the China Classification Society (CCS) Xiamen Branch, Deputy General Manager Liu Haizhen of XSI, and relevant department heads jointly attended the ceremony.
At 8:58 a.m., witnessed by representatives from all parties, Project Manager Zhu Enfang pressed the ignition button for the start of construction, and the CNC cutting machine was activated, marking the official entry of the vessel into the substantive construction phase. The ship features large cargo capacity, excellent fuel economy, and green environmental protection. It will be classed with CCS, with all performance indicators reaching the advanced level of similar ship types.
The smooth commencement of this vessel is a significant milestone achieved through the close collaboration and efficient promotion of all project parties.
