AEGEAN continues its dynamic growth in the first half, offering 9.4 million seats, 5% more compared to the first half of 2024, transporting 7.6 million passengers, 4% more compared to the same period last year, while simultaneously presenting a very strong increase of 109% in after-tax profits.

According to a related company announcement, domestic passengers increased by 5% while international passengers increased by 4%, despite the significant shortfall that occurred in the two-month period of May-June due to the non-operation of flights to Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan because of geopolitical developments.

Despite the constraints, especially in the May-June two-month period, and the increase in capacity by a significant number of airlines to Greece, AEGEAN achieved strong financial performances.

The consolidated turnover in the first half amounted to 787.0 million euros, recording a 5% increase. EBITDA increased by 6%, reaching 156.2 million euros. Pre-tax profits were formed at 66.0 million euros compared to 31.6 million euros in the first half of 2024, while after-tax profits were formed at 47.9 million euros from 22.9 million euros in the corresponding period of 2024.

In the second quarter, AEGEAN offered 5.5 million seats, only 2% more compared to 2024, mainly due to the loss of the Middle East markets mentioned above, with passenger traffic also increasing by 2%. The load factor was formed at 81.4%. The consolidated turnover for the second quarter amounted to 480.9 million euros while EBITDA was formed at 112.4 million euros. Net profits after taxes amounted to 54.5 million euros, increased from 43.9 million euros in the second quarter of 2024.

In 2025, AEGEAN is strengthening its fleet with a total of 6 new aircraft, of which three (3) A321neo have already been delivered, while two more Airbus A321neo and one new ATR 72-600 are still expected in the last quarter of the year.

Mr. Dimitris Gerogiannis, Chief Executive Officer, commenting on the financial results, stated: “In the first half of 2025, AEGEAN presented excellent financial results, despite the significant geopolitical challenges that limited our access to important markets, especially in the second quarter.”
