Aker Solutions signed an agreement with ConocoPhillips Skandinavia (ConocoPhillips) to extend the maintenance and modification (M&M) services for the Eldfisk and Ekofisk oil and gas fields off the coast of Norway.
“The global offshore industry needs standardized and efficient solutions, executed with speed and precision. Our goal is to reduce costs without compromising safety,” stated Paal Eikeseth, executive vice president and head of the life cycle business at Aker Solutions.
The work will be managed from the Aker Solutions office in Stavanger, Norway, while manufacturing will be carried out at the company’s yard in Egersund. The agreement will also include work for employees abroad.

This contract award is a clear testament to the quality and consistency that our teams have offered for many years. Together, we will ensure the continuity of maintenance and modification tasks at Eldfisk and Ekofisk,” added Eikeseth.
The contract value will depend on the volume of maintenance and modification work carried out over the next six years.
