The Port Authority of Santos (APS) this week published two notices for the onerous assignment of two areas for the construction of two logistics condominiums, with truck yards, totaling 877 spots.
The lands are located in the region between Alemoa and Saboó, in Santos, and in Conceiçãozinha, in Guarujá, with a combined area of over 400 thousand square meters. Part of the space will also be for port operation support services.
The initiative is part of the context of the growth in the volume of cargo transported by the Port and the need for advances in logistics. Currently, about eight thousand /day circulate in the region due to port activities.
The bids foresee the hiring of partners who will build the spaces and operate the services for a period of 20 years. The companies that win the bid will have to invest in making the services viable, in activities such as buildings, lighting, and environmental licensing.
Santos Land
The total area of the assignment is 242 thousand square meters. The project includes the implementation and operation of a logistics condominium to serve two fronts of activity in an integrated manner: Truck Center and Services aimed at the driver and vehicle, intended for organizing the flow of truck entry and exit and meeting the operational and well-being demands of drivers. It will have 121 thousand square meters, providing for at least 460 spots; Services aimed at cargo and containers, directed at the maintenance, certification, transformation, leasing, purchase and sale of containers, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of the logistics chain. It will also have 121 thousand square meters.
The land is on Avenida Augusto Barata, at the height of the BTP Terminal, on the opposite side of the perimeter road. The proposed location, inserted in the container cluster on the right bank of the Port of Santos, reinforces the strategic role of the enterprise, as the area is close to the main structural road axes for port access and to container terminals (Marimex, BTP and the future Tecon Santos 10, in addition to the Via Anchieta depots). This condition enables high operational synergy, by concentrating complementary logistics activities in a zone of direct influence of the Port.
Guarujá Land
The total area of the assignment is 163.1 thousand square meters, which will be divided between a staging yard and a logistics support services area. The space is known within the Organized Port as Area No. 41. It is a strategic area, as there is currently no truck staging yard in Guarujá.
The land will be divided into Area A (north) intended for the implementation of a Truck Staging Yard with 417 spots and a total area of 73,496 square meters; and Area B (south) intended for logistics support services, with a total area of 89.6 thousand square meters and 50.2 thousand square meters of covered warehouses to be exploited by the assignee.
