The Port Services Administration – Bolivia (ASP-B) reported that it will apply the current exchange rate determined and published by the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) in the collection of port services.

“Consequently, for the issuance, validation and cancellation of the Port Expense Sheet corresponding to agency services and port service, the amounts expressed in foreign currency will be converted to national currency (bolivianos), applying the current exchange rate determined and published by the Central Bank of Bolivia,” stated the ASP-B.

The company explained that within the framework of the port service provision contracts signed between the ASP-B and foreign trade operators, in accordance with the provisions of clause eight, numeral 8.3, the application of the exchange rate in effect on the date of the transaction (payment) is applicable.

The determination was applied in compliance with the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 245, which establishes the implementation of a flexible exchange rate regime.

Last Friday, June 27, the BCB set the rate at Bs 9.73 per US dollar. As of this Monday, the 29th, the official flexible exchange rate is applied in Bolivia.
