Cavotec has signed two additional orders with a total value of EUR 9.35 million with a leading global container shipping company, the company said in a statement.

The contracts include shore power systems for both newly built and existing container vessels.

The first order, worth EUR 5.55 million, covers the retrofitting of Cavotec’s shore power systems on a large number of existing vessels.

The work will take place while the ships are in service on routes between Asia, the United States, and Europe. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this year and continue through the end of 2026.

The second order, valued at EUR 3.8 million, extends a EUR 8.1 million contract announced by Cavotec in May this year. It covers shore power systems for newly built container vessels, with deliveries expected to start in the second half of 2026.

“These significant orders from one of the world’s leading container shipping companies underline our strong position in the shore power market. They also demonstrate the customer’s confidence in our technology and our ability to deliver sustainable solutions to the maritime sector,” said David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec.

Cavotec stated that its shore power systems help reduce emissions by enabling vessels to connect to electricity while at berth and support compliance with international environmental regulations.

Cavotec SA is a publicly listed engineering company headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland.
