The new Puerto Antioquia received an inter-institutional verification visit from the authorities of the Colombian State to advance the start-up of its facilities.

Authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN), the Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario (ICA), the Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos (Invima) and the Dirección de Antinarcóticos of the National Police arrived at the port facilities with the objective of verifying compliance with the mandatory requirements for the terminal’s entry into operation.

“The day allowed us to confirm that our terminal complies with regulatory, technical, operational, and security standards, establishing itself as a safe and competitive port for the country’s foreign trade. The verification reaffirms our commitment to legality, efficiency, and transparency, and marks a key step towards making Urabá a strategic axis for Colombia’s logistical development,” stated the port company.
