Recently, a signing and delivery ceremony was held for the 7500DWT general cargo ship “SANDSTAD” (SH110), built by Hangtiandayang for Norway’s Berge Company. Attendees included Magne Berge (Owner) and Magnar K. Berge (Operator) from Norway’s Berge Company; Chen Haibin, Deputy General Manager of CSSC Trade & Service Co., Ltd. Shanghai, and Project Manager Peng Yong; Yu Yang, General Manager of Innomar, and Director Niu Qingguo; as well as leaders including Zhang Haoruo, Chairman and General Manager of Hangtiandayang.
This general cargo ship has a designed length of 119.9 meters, a beam of 17 meters, a depth of 9.3 meters, a draft of 6.5 meters, and a speed of 13.2 knots. The main engine utilizes the MAN series of high-efficiency diesel engines, and the propeller is a CPP controllable pitch propeller. Both the main engine and generator are equipped with SCR, enabling them to meet Tier III requirements. It possesses many excellent characteristics such as high efficiency, energy saving, and environmental friendliness, making it a ship type supported and encouraged by European countries.
The delivered “SANDSTAD” is the third high-quality vessel of the same type built by Hangtiandayang for Norway’s Berge Company. The successful delivery of this ship further consolidates the close and productive cooperative relationship between the two parties. It is believed that the “SANDSTAD”, with its excellent performance, will surely contribute to the business development of Norway’s Berge Company in its future voyages.
