On November 14, the keel laying of the C16K-20, a 15000TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship built by CSSC Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) Tianjin for France’s CMA CGM, was successfully completed, formally marking the entry into the continuous construction phase of the main hull.
During the construction of this vessel, DSIC Tianjin established a professional technical team and scientifically formulated production plans for key construction milestones; by rationally allocating human, equipment, and site resources, efficient connection between various stages was achieved. Currently, the construction of core block sections, including the engine room bottom in the engine room area, has been successfully completed, with the initial shape of the engine room taking form, creating favorable conditions for the installation of key equipment such as the power system; multiple block assemblies in the cargo hold area have been cumulatively completed, aiding the rapid formation of the hull structure through the effectiveness of scaled construction.
DSIC Tianjin will uphold the craftsman spirit of striving for perfection, strictly control quality, adhere to safety, and go all out to ensure the high-quality and efficient completion of subsequent construction tasks.
