The Norwegian company wins a strategic assignment in the North Sea, strengthening its position in the British subsea market

Oslo – DeepOcean has secured a contract on the UK Continental Shelf for subsea construction and tie-in activities of a new field to an existing offshore facility. The assignment includes the installation of a flexible production riser, a flowline, and an umbilical that will connect the main facility to the subsea tree, in addition to line protection operations and the subsequent commissioning phase.

The project, considered relevant for extending the operational life of the existing infrastructure, will be managed by DeepOcean’s engineering team in Aberdeen. The offshore activities will take place in two phases: a first one dedicated to subsea construction and tie-in, followed by a second one for commissioning, using another vessel from the fleet chartered by DeepOcean.

The award confirms the company’s established role in subsea construction in a context where the security of domestic energy supplies is a priority for the United Kingdom.
