During the evening hours yesterday, the Central Port Authority of Lavrio was informed that a 72-year-old Greek passenger of the passenger – vehicle ferry (/G) “BLUE STAR II” N.P. 10764 required immediate hospital care.
The ship, which was performing a scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Syros-Patmos-Leros-Kos-Symi-Rhodes, deviated from its course and docked at the port of Lavrio where the patient was disembarked.
Subsequently, the 72-year-old was transported by an EKAB ambulance vehicle to the General Hospital of Attica “SOTIRIA”, while the ship sailed to continue its scheduled route.
