The Port Authority of Astypalaia was informed that a yacht (Yacht) vessel (catamaran) under Swiss flag, which was anchored in the sea area of Livadi Astypalaia, was dragged due to adverse weather conditions resulting in it crashing into a rocky area at Agios Konstantinos.
A Patrol Vehicle L.S.-EL.ACT. and the fishing vessel (F/V) “DIMITRIOS” S. Astypalaia 69, with an onboard member of the Port Authority, were dispatched to the location to provide assistance. The yacht was located by the F/V and was safely guided to the port of Skala Astypalaia. The Port Station of Astypalaia prohibited the departure of the yacht until the submission of a seaworthiness certificate by the competent ship surveyor, while there was no injury or sea pollution from the incident.
