Evergreen, Yang Ming, and Wan Hai Lines’ third-quarter revenue increased month-on-month

According to Shipping Exchange news, data shows that Evergreen Marine, Yang Ming Marine Transport, and Wan Hai Lines all achieved year-on-year and month-on-month revenue declines in September 2025. The good news is that the three major liner companies’ third-quarter revenues increased by 11.79%, 8.89%, and 0.43% respectively compared to the previous quarter.

Specifically, affected by the uncertainty of Trump 2.0 tariffs, the revenues of the three major liner companies, Evergreen, Yang Ming, and Wan Hai, all decreased year-on-year in the first nine months of this year. In terms of revenue for September alone, Evergreen Marine’s revenue remained stable at approximately NT$30 billion, Yang Ming Marine Transport’s revenue dropped to approximately NT$12.8 billion, and Wan Hai Lines’ revenue remained stable at approximately NT$11 billion.

Evergreen Marine’s Q3 revenue increased by 11.79% quarter-on-quarter

Evergreen Marine achieved operating revenue of NT$30.121 billion (USD 992 million) in September 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 32.52% and a month-on-month decrease of 8.60%.

In the first nine months of 2025, Evergreen Marine’s cumulative operating revenue was NT$293.138 billion (USD 9.701 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 15.71%.

For the third quarter alone, Evergreen Marine’s cumulative operating revenue was NT$99.683 billion (approximately USD 3.200 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 36.72% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 11.79%.

Evergreen Marine’s 24,000 TEU container ship project “Five Golden Flowers” all delivered

On October 8th, the 24,000 TEU-class ultra-large container ship “EVER ALLY” built by Hudong-Zhonghua for Evergreen Marine was delivered. This marks the successful completion of the project for the 5 sister ships built by Hudong-Zhonghua for Evergreen Marine (the first four sister ships being “EVER AIM,” “EVER ART,” “EVER ACT,” and “EVER APEX”).

According to the latest data from Alphaliner, in the global top 100 liner company capacity rankings, Evergreen Marine ranks 7th globally, operating 234 ships, including 157 owned vessels and 77 chartered-in vessels, with a total slot capacity of 1.9167 million TEU. Furthermore, Evergreen Marine also holds orders for 44 newbuildings, totaling 679,000 TEU.

Yang Ming Marine Transport’s Q3 revenue increased by 8.89% quarter-on-quarter

Yang Ming Marine Transport achieved operating revenue of NT$12.769 billion (approximately USD 420 million) in September 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 40.94% and a month-on-month decrease of 7.73%.

In the first nine months of 2025, Yang Ming Marine Transport’s cumulative operating revenue was NT$126.265 billion (approximately USD 4.178 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 25.39%.

For the third quarter alone, Yang Ming Marine Transport’s cumulative operating revenue was NT$42.092 billion (approximately USD 1.393 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 42.21% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 8.89%.

According to the latest data from Alphaliner, in the global top 100 liner company capacity rankings, Yang Ming Marine Transport ranks 10th, operating 100 ships, including 59 owned vessels and 41 chartered-in vessels, with a total slot capacity of 724,200 TEU. Furthermore, Yang Ming holds orders for 18 newbuildings, totaling 236,700 TEU.

Wan Hai Lines’ Q3 revenue increased by 0.43% quarter-on-quarter

Wan Hai Lines achieved operating revenue of NT$11.016 billion (approximately USD 363 million) in September 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 26.46% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.00%.

In the first nine months of 2025, Wan Hai Lines’ cumulative operating revenue was NT$106.970 billion (approximately USD 3.540 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 1.06%.

For the third quarter alone, Wan Hai Lines’ cumulative operating revenue was NT$35.027 billion (approximately USD 1.159 billion), a year-on-year decrease of 35.72% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.43%.

According to the latest data from Alphaliner, in the global top 100 liner company capacity rankings, Wan Hai Lines ranks 11th, operating 114 ships, including 113 owned vessels and 1 chartered-in vessel, with a total slot capacity of 550,900 TEU. Furthermore, Wan Hai Lines also holds orders for 32 newbuildings, totaling 354,800 TEU.
